Face it: You dont always like your customers and a proportion of your clients probably dont like you.
Thats life – they do business with you because they have to – or to put it another way- you offer enough value to overcome their desire to go elsewhere.
Value is always the key.
So next time you hear some over-the-top ‘customer love’ idea – see if it passes the grouch customer test: Will my worst customer see this as valuable?
If it doesnt then it may need some rework.
I must say – I don’t believe all your work should be directed at your worst customer! – far from it – but they are a very useful litmus test when it comes to true customer value.
