Pay Your Front Line Staff Well

March 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Sales people in many corporations tend to make a lot of money. These companies know that looking after the customer, and therefore making a buck, takes investment.

Compare this to your average store in your average mall. Low pay means the people you deal with are largely transient and see the job they have as a step to something else.

The day I can walk into a large store and see it’s front line staff are all career-retailers – ambitious but with years of experience – people that take pride in what they do – thats the day I will believe the chain-stores claims of caring for their customers.
